The Lab at Transient Labs — Redesigning Creation Itself
Context
Before the redesign, the Lab was a blank canvas—too blank. Users entering the space had no clear next step, causing confusion and friction.
I led a full redesign to transform the Lab into a visually guided, animated experience. Using animated block systems built in Rive, we showcased every major way creators can build, distribute, and sell their work.
Each creation type (1/1s, Editions, Multi-Creations, etc.) now has a distinct visual identity and quick-start educational tips that make the path forward obvious—and exciting.
The result: more engaged creators, faster time-to-first-mint, and a Lab that truly invites exploration rather than intimidating users with a blank slate.
